New Patients

Your first visit

During your initial dental visit, you'll receive a comprehensive examination to assess your oral health and identify any potential dental problems.  Based on this evaluation, we then can develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs.

Do I need x-rays?
If you haven't seen a dentist in a few years or if you don't have previous x-rays, we will most likely need to take x-rays. The number of films depends upon your specific situation, and we only take x-rays when necessary. We do, however, use the latest x-ray technology to minimize radiation.

If you have x-rays from a preivous dentist, please contact us so we can coordinate getting copies.

Will I have a cleaning at my first appointment?
We try to schedule a cleaning at the same time you have your initial exam, but in situations where a person has gum disease (periodontal disease) we may need to scheudle additional appointments for you for deep cleaning.
