The Best Way to Straighten Teeth

You can straighten teeth with traditional braces or clear aligners. Invisalign is the most advanced clear aligner system available. It uses custom trays created from detailed 3D digital scans for maximum comfort and discreet appearance. Treatment may be completed in as little as six months, with noticeable changes visible within just a few weeks. Because the trays are removable and easy to clean, you can continue to enjoy your favorite foods and maintain excellent oral hygiene.

After nearly 30 years of being a patient I figured it was time for a review. Dr. Burgmeier runs a first class dental practice. His staff is polite, efficient & they do a great job. Dr. Burgmeier really cares about his patients; I remember him coming in for an emergency on a Saturday afternoon to fix my teeth after a biking accident. Go see Burgmeier, you won’t be disappointed.

I've been coming here for quite a few years and have always had a great experience with Dr. Burgmeier and all the hygienists I've had! I really appreciate how easy they are to make appointments with. I moved out of state but come back to KS often and they always accommodate to get me in when I'm back home. I can text or call them and they'll text me reminders to get me scheduled. Overall, wonderful team, and I will continue to come here!

I can only say good things about Dr. Burgmeier and his staff. He is great at what he does, and has a winning personality as well …. especially good with dentures, which was my concern. His staff is always very helpful and courteous. I would strongly recommend his practice to anyone with dental problems, as I have had great experiences there! Charles Miller

This office is amazing! I started going here in the late 90s then moved after a few years. I decided to try to find a dentist near my new home so I changed. It took about two visits to realize that Dr. Burgmeier was worth the drive so I cane back! The staff is amazing - friendly and gentle - and I feel like Dr. Burgmeier has my best interests at heart and I feel safe with him working on my teeth.

For a Beautiful Smile and a Healthy Lifestyle

Straight teeth not only improve the look of your smile but also contribute to better overall health.

It may be surprising, but having straight teeth is important for your wellbeing. You might think crooked teeth are no problem if they do not cause pain or discomfort. However, teeth must be properly aligned to work correctly and last a lifetime.

Almost nine out of ten people have some degree of crowding or misalignment. This can lead to:
  • Chipped front teeth or even tooth loss
  • Food getting trapped between teeth
  • Difficulty flossing and cleaning between teeth
  • A higher chance of cavities forming between teeth
  • Gum disease, which is linked to serious health issues like heart disease, Alzheimer’s disease, arthritis, and stroke

If you notice any of these problems, we encourage you to schedule an appointment for a thorough oral health evaluation.

When is a Good Time to Start?

Maybe you have thought about straightening your teeth for some time, or perhaps your dentist just recommended it. Either way, putting off treatment only means more months or years feeling unhappy with your smile and a greater risk of damage or health complications. Teeth continue to shift naturally over time.

Your teeth will likely become more misaligned in the coming years than they are now.
The more correction your teeth need, the longer treatment will take. It is easier, faster, and more cost effective to straighten teeth before the problem worsens.

Do not worry about the cost. Treatment is affordable, and payment is not required all at once. Our office is happy to explain the payment plans most patients use to make treatment manageable.

What Can You Expect Once You Start Your Treatment?

Our goal is to help you achieve a healthy, attractive smile by creating a strong foundation with properly aligned teeth. It is never too late to benefit from straightening.

Your Treatment Plan

The process begins with digital scans of your teeth to design a customized treatment plan. Using Invisalign’s software, we can predict how your teeth will move and show you how your smile will change at each stage. After the plan is finalized, your personalized aligners are produced using advanced 3D printing.

The First Aligners

When your aligners arrive, small attachments may be placed temporarily on your teeth. These help the aligners fit securely but are mostly invisible and will be removed when treatment ends.

Follow up Appointments

You will wear each set of aligners for about two weeks. With each new set, your teeth gradually shift into the desired position. We schedule check ins every one to two months to track your progress and make sure everything is on track.

Your consultation will include an examination of everything from your teeth, gums and soft tissues to the shape and condition of your bite. Generally, we want to see how your whole mouth looks and functions. Before we plan your treatment we want to know everything about the health and aesthetic of your smile, and most importantly, what you want to achieve so we can help you get there.

Cost of Invisalign in Olathe

With insurance, Invisalign treatment typically costs between $3000 and $5000 or more out of pocket. Without insurance, costs usually range from $4000 to $6000 or higher. After your examination, we will provide a detailed quote to help you understand your insurance coverage and expected out of pocket expenses.

What Determines the Cost of Invisalign?

Several factors influence the price of Invisalign treatment, including:

  • Your overall oral health
  • How much tooth movement is required
  • The length of your treatment

Every smile is unique. The best way to find out if Invisalign suits you and to get an accurate estimate is to schedule a consultation. During the visit, we will discuss your goals and examine your teeth to develop a customized plan.

We provide options for all cases, from quick corrections to more complex cosmetic or functional needs. If necessary, we will refer you to a specialist for further care.

Frequently Asked Questions

Invisalign is generally more comfortable and discreet than braces. The clear, custom fit trays are nearly invisible and can be removed for special occasions. Unlike braces, Invisalign trays are smooth and do not irritate your mouth. They also apply gentler pressure by moving only a few teeth at a time, which often results in greater comfort.

Invisalign moves your teeth gradually, causing minimal discomfort. You might feel some pressure, but it should not be painful. If you do experience discomfort, please let us know so we can make any necessary adjustments.

Treatment usually lasts six to twelve months. Most patients notice progress within the first six weeks. The more changes you want, the longer treatment will take regardless of the method used.

Clean your trays twice daily and rinse them before putting them back in. Avoid eating or drinking while wearing your aligners. Do not use toothpaste to clean them. We will give you detailed care instructions when you receive your first set.

No, you should always remove your aligners before eating. Eating while wearing them can damage or crack the trays and is uncomfortable.

Yes, Invisalign should be worn almost all day and night, except when eating or drinking. To be effective, your aligners need to apply continuous gentle pressure to move your teeth.
